Continuous Web Processing Oven for Resin Application in Textile Industry

The Challenge

A Web processing operation needed a specialized curing oven for the application of resins on fabric for in a continuous web-form.

The Solution

Epcon had a unique opportunity to build a multi-level conveyorized web-processing Oven like none other. At each level, resin was being applied to the fabric base material and then cured in the Oven at 550 – 600 ° F. Each stage also had a different operating temperatures; as the web went higher, the temperature increased.

The Results

Once built, the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) was completed and the international customers were overwhelmed with the design, as it increased production speeds by 30% once in operation. Epcon considers this project a record Industry achievement
