Product Overview
Curing Ovens
Curing ovens are used for a variety of applications across industries involving paint, powder and sealant coating, epoxy resin, thermoplastics, adhesives, laminate coatings, rubber, polymers, carbon fiber, plastic composites, and more.
Curing applications use heat to create a chemical reaction to cure a finish or adhesive onto a product, or to solidify a plastic or epoxy, that ultimately increases the strength and durability of the material through a chemical reaction. Catalyzing agents are sometimes also introduced into the curing oven to facilitate the required reaction. The enhanced physiochemical linkages in the cured material result in a harder, more durable, and stable materials or coatings that resists temperature, humidity, and/or corrosion.
For optimal curing across surfaces, temperature uniformity is critical. Epcon’s curing ovens are designed with tight temperature tolerance and precise control for repeatable results and uniform airflow that ensure proper curing across an entire load.
Epcon’s team of process heating engineers will customize your curing oven configuration, such as batch or conveyor, with specialized features to best suit your production requirements. In addition, we can integrate heat recovery and air pollution controls into the oven’s exhaust stream to not only remove the VOCs given off during the curing process, but also increase efficiency of the system.
